An exhibition of art celebrating black heroes and heroines is staged at The Quarry Theatre, St Peter’s Street until Sunday 1st August.
At the official opening of the SpectaculArts event, work by local artists were unveiled, alongside a statue by Donald Brown of theglobalgallery.com
Local author Desmond Clarke was there with his book ‘Stolen Inheritance’, a work which developed from his studies in to African history.
SpectaculArts member Carmela Martiello, of Bedford College has organised the exhibition. She said: “I would like to thank James Pharaoh and The Quarry, my colleagues at SpectaculArts and the artists that created the work, including Bedford College students.”
