Bedford town centre was packed in the Spring sunshine on Monday April 12th with queues to get into Primark and Debenhams.
Cafes and bars were busy with customers taking advantage of the dry weather to sit outside with friends at the Riverside and enjoy a drink or meals.
Said Beckie from Bridges Espresso Bar which had been open of takeaways throughout:
“It’s looking good, people are loving being back and we’re getting back in to the swing of things - fast!”
Primark opened at 8am to cope with the anticipation demand which continued all day.
Bridges Espresso Bar at Riverside was booked and busy with food and coffee orders.
Hair enough - all stations go at salons and spas as the backlog of desperate clients arrived at Castle Quay
