Event in Bedford Town Centre

The charity event, The Rickshaw Challenge, returns once again with a new route, a new team, and a newly modified rickshaw.

A team of six young people and The One Show’s Matt Baker will take on an eight day challenge to cycle 400 miles across the UK as part of BBC's Children in Need this year The route for this year's challenge runs from Holyhead to London, starting on Friday 8 November and ending in the capital on Friday 15 November.  This year’s route will see the team ride to Flash, the highest village in the UK, and tackle the steepest street in the world in Harlech, Wales.

Day 7 will see Team Rickshaw cycle into Bedford's Harpur Square on Thursday 14 November, with the arrival live on The One Show from 7pm. Bedford is the final stop before the team continues on to Elstree studios for Children in Need's live show on the Friday.

Everyone is welcome to come along to support Matt and the team and cheer on this year's rickshaw in person.

The One Show viewers will be able to follow Team Rickshaw's progress on the show each day, but the full route - including a real-time update of the rickshaw's progress will be available at bbc.co.uk/Pudsey.
