The Harpur Centre has announced the launch of a new woodland adventure in Bedford, with the installation of a brand new soft play area, providing an exciting pit stop for the Centre’s families.

Parents of Bedford can rejoice as a fully-fitted children’s soft play area is coming to the heart of The Harpur Centre on Saturday 8th June. The woodland themed soft play area will be accessible every day of the week during the Centre’s opening hours, providing the perfect chance for parents to recharge and for kids to burn off all that extra energy. Plus, this exciting activity will be completely free of charge!

To ensure that the soft play initiative benefits the local community, The Harpur Centre have partnered with local charity, Sue Ryder St John’s Hospice. Over the coming months, Sue Ryder will be utilising the soft play area in order to raise awareness of the cause, hold recruitment events, collect donations and provide fun activities for both children and adults visiting The Harpur Centre.

Centre Manager, Samantha Laycock, commented: “The Harpur Centre team are incredibly excited to be partnering with Sue Ryder to open the brand new soft play area which will be a fantastic way for us to give back to the local community. We believe that this new initiative will both provide a brilliant, safe space for families to enjoy whilst also supporting Sue Ryder in all of the fantastic work they do locally.”

Aimee Jepson, Community Fundraiser at Sue Ryder, added, “The support from organisations like The Harpur Centre is at the heart of all we do - this opportunity will allow us to raise awareness of Sue Ryder St John’s Hospice and fundraise to support the work we do in the local community. Without support like this, we simply wouldn’t be able to deliver the quality of care our patients deserve. This partnership will help us to ensure that we can provide more care for people locally.”

The soft play area will open on Saturday 8th June and will provide the perfect pit stop for families while they enjoy the wide range of retailers available at Harpur Centre, including Starbucks, The Fragrance Store, Topshop, Primark and many more.
