Michael R. Peters has been helping to give a young man an even break in employment by offering him a work opportunity at the electrical and white goods store.
The company, which celebrated its 50th anniversary last year and which is the “go to” store for customer service helped Steven Portman who went on to make a special report about his experiences which was screened on ITV Anglia on July 31st.
Steven explained that having suffered a stroke as a child he found it difficult in adult life to find a job as he was seen as disabled. Via the EvenBreak organisation he found a way in to work and as part of the process he ended up making a film screened on the regional news programme about his experiences.
Said Paul Mead, General Manager of Michael R. Peters: “We were delighted to be able to help Steven after an introduction via Mark Rutherford Business Partnership. We are a firm with family values where our people and our relationships with customers make all the difference.”
