New signs are making it even easier to visit Bedford town centre.
Four new ‘Variable Message Signs’ have been installed at key entrances to Bedford town centre, giving directions to car parks and real-time information showing the spaces available.
These signs are up on Clapham Road, St Peter’s Street, Kingsway and Prebend Street, with two more on the way on River Street and Bromham Road.
These signs are currently being used to provide information about car parking, but they are extremely versatile - keep an eye out for changes in the future.
Drivers should remember that council car parks are FREE for the first two hours of your visit on Saturdays and ALL DAY on Sundays.
