FREE Christmas in Bedford

27 November 2015

Christmas past, present and future came to Bedford on Thursday November 26th - thanks to businesses who co-funded the attractions via the Business Improvement District (BID) together with Bedford Borough Council

This meant all the fun was FREE from evening parking to the spectacular fireworks

Past was the traditional scene of Santa with REAL reindeer pulling his sleigh from Harpur Square and along Silver Street - followed by children.

Present was the current fashion for Frozen with REAL life characters posing for photographs with children

Future were the new lights financed by the BID in Howard, Mill and St Peter’s Street  - part of an on-going programme to light up the town more brightly every Christmas

BedfordBID Director Christina Rowe said: “The BID is here to bring people into town for the benefit of all businesses. We work in association with the council team who organise the fabulous fireworks, and businesses who went that extra mile to have stands on St Paul’s Square and join in the party spirit.”

There is much more for people to enjoy in town in the lead up to Christmas - including the Bedford Swan Hotel’s ice rink which is even more popular this year than last when it was launched.
