Reopening of Oxfam Books and Music Shop

13 October 2015

The Lord-Lieutenant of Bedfordshire, Helen Nellis, will reopen the Oxfam Books and Music Shop in St Pauls Square on Wednesday 14th October at 11.15am following the shop's recent refurbishment.

The shop reopening also marks 20 years of volunteering with Oxfam in Bedford and Cambridge for Saturday volunteer, Tim Holman.

The Lord-Lieutenant will present a long service badge and certificate to him and nine other members of the shop team who have volunteered in the Bedford Oxfam Books and Music shop for at least five, 10 or 15 years clocking up over 130 years service between them.

The Lord-Lieutenant said "I am delighted to have been asked to open the exciting Oxfam Books and Music shop in its new form. The volunteers who have worked so hard over so many years are well known to people in Bedford and I am sure that they will continue to make a huge contribution to our community in their beautiful new shop."
