Happy Ever After Street

29 April 2015

Harpur Street is to be re-branded with a bridal theme: Happy Every After Street for its “big day”.

On Tuesday May 12th local businesses, who all support wedding events and activities, will be hanging up a new “street” sign and asking customers to join in the celebrations.

The idea came from Nicola Weeks who opened her bridal gown shop George James just three months ago.

“I realised that with Michael Bailey next door selling the most stylish special day outfits for ladies, Fleurette preparing fantastic flowers and Bluebird specialising in hair for brides we had all the answers here in Harpur Street.

“We also asked our lovely neighbours in the Sicilian restaurant Don Graziono to join in so people can stop and have a coffee and cake while they stroll from shop to shop.”

There will be a party atmosphere on Harpur Street for the “Happy Ever After Street” day – so pop along and take a look.

Visitors please note: On street short stay parking in Harpur Street, or best priced parking in town at Queen Street multi-storey.

Pop into any of the shops to say Hello and ask about their wonderful wedding services – and then stop for coffee at Don Graziano (also available for family dinners and wedding parties – Sicilian style)

BedfordBID has backed the promotional day under its Love Bedford brand by paying for the “street” banner.
