Bedford's Hair & Beauty Catwalk

21 April 2015

BedfordBID is sponsoring the town’s most exciting hair and beauty show where the theme this year is: Vintage v Modern.

Staged at the Bedford Corn Exchange on Thursday May 21st, the show is always a sell-out as families flock to see the work of students on the catwalk.

Joining them at the venue are all the town’s top hair and beauty salons and spas most of whom have connections with, or students from Bedford College and its High Street training salon: Brooks.

Kerry Attfield, Assistant Director of Hair and Beauty at Bedford College said: “This event is a showcase for hair and beauty trainees in Bedford. This is a global, multi-billion pound industry and we are glad to be training young people towards careers in this booming business.”

Christina Rowe, Director of BedfordBID said: “Under the Love Bedford brand we fly the flag for our town centre which includes many exciting and forward-thinking salons and spas who keep customers coming back. It’s a natural link to celebrate the next wave of talent coming through training.”

BedfordBID is giving £1,000 worth of Love Bedford shopping vouchers as prizes for the 100s of participants and will be running a competition on its Love Bedford Facebook page for the best photos from the night.

“This is an ideal chance to get students and family members to log on to www.lovebedford.co.uk and our associated social media to see what else the town has to offer,” said Christina.
