BID-zone Bedford College has been accepted as a member of the Customer Service Institute, demonstrating its commitment to looking after its 1,000s of customers.

The membership will ensure the best possible experience for customers of all ages. They may be:

  • 13 year olds looking to join one of the college academies
  • Parents
  • Teenagers and Twentysomethings signing up for A Levels or vocational courses
  • Employers seeking apprentices or on-going staff training

Sarah Baxter, Sales and Marketing Director of Bedford College, who heads up marketing and employer engagement said: “Bedford College is a business. We have to persuade people to choose to come to us for full-time or part-time education. They have other options and so we need to be making sure our customers and have  the best possible experience with Bedford College across all its campuses.”

Bedford College has campuses in Bedford, Kempston, Biggleswade, Luton, Rushden and Milton Keynes. It has 15,000 students and 700 members of staff.

The College sponsors a University Technical College (UTC) serving South Beds and is to open a Technical Academy for North Beds in September 2016. It announced last month (October) plans to sponsor Hastingsbury Upper School as it becomes an academy.
