8th-11th Nov: Art for Well-Being Exhibition

Wednesday 8 November 2017

The ‘Art for Well-Being’ exhibition will proudly display art pieces crafted by dedicated unpaid family carers based in Bedford and Biggleswade. The exhibition will be open to the public between 11am and 4pm and a special art workshop with Carers in Bedfordshire’s art professionals will run from 10 am-12 pm on our opening day, Wednesday 8th November.

The artwork displayed will be produced by carers, who are registered with and supported by the charity; Carers in Bedfordshire. The mixed media art training group gives unpaid carers a chance to invest in their own well-being by taking some time out of their caring role and focus on a creative activity that they love. Spending time in the company of people who also care for someone who needs them, these carers experience the joy of producing art to share with others. The resulting art show is a celebration of those carers and their achievements. The exhibition will also highlight the benefits that unpaid carers receive from being supported by the charity’s events, workshops and support programmes.

Come along to view the art, learn about Carers in Bedfordshire and develop your knowledge of Art and Well-being.
